How we make money

HostTopPicks is reader-supported. When you click a deal or provider link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the hosting provider. This is the industry-standard affiliate model used by nearly every hosting review site.

Commissions are paid by the provider — never by you. The price you see on the provider's site is the same price you would pay if you arrived without our link.

How we keep it honest

• Every external deal/provider link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" — no link equity is traded for commissions.
• Paid placements, if any, are always labelled as “Ad” or “Sponsored”.
• Rankings and reviews are scored on our published formula (performance 30%, price-to-value 25%, features 20%, support 15%, ease of use 10%) — commission rates play no part.
• If a host pays for a review or placement, we say so on the page. If it doesn't, we still say it.

What you can expect from us

We only recommend hosts we would use ourselves. A provider cannot buy its way into the Top Picks, and a bad product cannot be rescued by a high commission — anything below our bar gets cut, no matter what it pays.
